School Soon…Grrrrr

School is starting soon for me…and I don’t really like that. I lost a whole week out of my holidays thanks to my trip, but it was fun, but I start school very soon. I guess I shouldn’t complain but school is a drag…I just want to sit down and read and write stories like I always do.

Apart from that, nothing really happened (nothing interesting ever happens anymore DX), so I can’t really share much. I haven’t been buying games recently, only because there are barely anything I really want and I really don’t have the money. I’m saving up because I recently got my learners and my parents need to pay for my driving lessons.

Nothing to rant about, surprisingly. I don’t like ranting about, to be honest, but  somethings are just so unjustified so I had to put my input on it. But as I said, there’s nothing really to rant about. Oh, regarding Visual Kei, I can’t show or share any of it to my friends. They don’t get the gist of the point; VISUAL KEI. Of course they’re going to look elaborate and over the top and yes, some of them, do cross dress. I have no problems with cross dressing though. Everyone makes a big deal about Visual Kei, but it’s just for show. Nothing more.

That’s all I really have to say about it. You know, one of my friends watch anime and there are a lot of suspicious things in anime, but he can’t take Visual Kei. I shown him a picture of Royz just for the logo I managed to draw and he tried not to laugh at them. This is where, you my lovely readers, tell me with a reason; What is apparently so funny about Royz? This is the look I’m talking about;

Now I don’t want to be an ass and say he’s a horrible person, but my friend is a sweet and funny guy. But really, what he said really pissed me off. I may not have shown it, but I was furious. It’s just people in general who says Visual Kei is weird, funny, stupid or etc. So what? At least their music/songs are pretty good (some aren’t that great though and I’m not just talking about Royz), cause I’ve heard songs that suck and are sung in English.

And here’s another thing I want you readers to justify on. Why should people hate pop? Now being a listener of music, I can listen to mostly any kind of music. I don’t like screamos though, I can bear with it to an extent, but I can’t say I ever like the idea of vocalists screaming into the microphones *looks to ex-V-last vocalist Shyena*, yeah, A-live had a lot of screaming and that really wasn’t cool…Why did I ask the question though? Two of my friends hate pop music…but you can’t be a real listener to music if you don’t listen to pop. Their answer was that it was not good…without a justified reason. So that’s why I’m giving you readers a chance to speak for it. Comment here or send a message to my email is fine, just so long I can get a good response.

Spam Mail Makes Me Murderous…And Royz Makes Me Happy

I have had three spam mails today and it’s really irritating me. Whoever is sending spam mails better stop or I’ll do more than just raging…Apart from that though, it’s just two days until I leave for a week. So…to make you guys feel a bit better, I’ll talk about Royz, the band I recently got into.

Royz

The awkward thing is, they formed into 2009, but I didn’t start listening to them until I heard 「NOAH」 which was…two weeks ago??? I do this to a lot of bands, if I don’t listen to their music, I just don’t really pay all that much attention to them. Since listening to their latest maxi single and really enjoyed 「NOAH」, I decided to give them a chance and will start to listen to each of their upcoming singles and albums. I haven’t gotten to 「α」yet, but I’ll get there eventually. Now, I’ll take about each of the individual band members, but since I don’t know too much about them, I can only speculate from various videos I’ve watched of them.

Subaru

Subaru is the vocalist of Royz and he has an amazing voice. To me,  a vocalist can only be good if their voice is versatile, meaning, their voice sounds different when they sing, as opposed to their normal speaking voice. From the videos I’ve watched, Subaru is cool and calm, but he can be quite the little kid when he wants to be. I don’t know what his real personality is like, because I’ve only known Royz for two weeks, but he seems really reliable. I love how he remarks that the face paint he puts on the right side of his cheek is a Subaru original. That way no one can steal it haha.

Kuina

Kuina was the last to join Royz from what I’ve read and right now, the picture above, he reminds me of Kazuki of SCREW. I’ll talk more on that later, but his previous look in 「NOAH」made him look like Ryouga of ViViD. Anyways, he seems so relaxed and loves to have fun. He gets along really well with Koudai, from what I’ve seen in various videos. Those two are just like brothers, they are so funny together. That aside, Kuina’s guitar playing is pretty good, I can’t say too much since I’ve only watched a couple of live videos. I’ll probably go and watch more to listen to his playing though. It’s hard to hear which guitar piece is whose, because there are two guitarists *looks below to Kazuki*, yeah, I’m mentioning you. Other than that though, hope all the best for Kuina and I’m more than happy to support him and the rest.

Kazuki

I don’t mean for this to be a comparison, but Kazuki just looks so much like Kazuki from SCREW. I know the chances of that are slim and that they are only stage names, but I can’t help but think they look so similar. Then again, I think Kazuki from SCREW has larger eyes. That was the only way I could tell that Ken from AND -Eccentric Agent- and Ibuki from D=OUT were brothers; their eyes. Enough of that, Kazuki here is a cute little boy (I’m calling him a little boy even though he’s older than me), but he’s not naive or innocent like a child. I think he’s pretty intelligent, even if he acts like a little kid half the time. Aside from his childish nature, he’s a good guitarist. I’ll need to watch more lives and listen to more music before I can really comment fairly on their instrument playing and singing in Subaru’s case.

Koudai

As I’ve said before in Kuina’s section, he and the guitarist seem to get along very well. I don’t know if it’s because they knew each other before being in the same band or if they just happen to get along so well the moment they met. That’s not really any of my business anyways. Like all the Royz members, Koudai just loves to have fun. I swear, they all act more childish and high than most teenagers my age do. But it what makes them cute and unique. Most people over here would call it weird and strange, but I totally support them. They can act however they want, but when it results to crime *looks over to the TV to see a bunch of teenage delinquents being hauled over by police*, it does get pretty bad. Not that they will act like that at this point, they’d have to have serious problems. Back to the musical matters, I can’t really hear the bass all that well in 「NOAH」, but I’m pretty sure if I really pay attention, Koudai is a great bassist. I just have to listen more closely.

Tomoya

Tomoya, Tomoya, Tomoya, where do I start? He’s a big kid, I don’t know if this is only noticeable mostly in 「NOAH」making video, but in 「α」making of video, he seems more level headed. I guess because it was coming into winter for them so he did seem pretty sick (And he was sniffling too…poor guy). But since「NOAH」was filmed in spring, he was definitely chipper and was basically being a kid. I guess it seems immature to most people here, but we all have some form of immaturity within ourselves. It’s just Tomoya is a big kid that makes him seem immature. But he’s a responsible guy (Knowing to clog his bloody nose haha) and I think he plays the drums very well. While I can’t hear the bass very well (Sorry Koudai!), the drums I can hear clearly. Blends in well with the songs. Gonna support Tomoya and the rest of  Royz.

Let’s make this clear; yes, they are good looking, but none of them are my type…nor do I really want to be with any of them. I’m sorry,  like I said, I don’t even know them and even if I did, they make me seem like the big sister rather than a friend. I’m just sick of people liking bands/singers because of their looks. To me, I’d rather sit home and watch their live videos and listen to their music, rather than going to their lives. That’s mainly because the loud songs will kill my ears, but that’s beside the point. Point is, we should really be supporting them in their music careers and not for their looks, even though visual kei is focusing on the looks haha. If I ever meet them during a fan conference or if I do go to their concert, I would try and strike up a good conversation with them. Nothing involving romance or confessing feelings; just a simple everyday conversation. But for that, I need to learn more Japanese, even though I’m pretty good at this point. Thanks and hope you support Royz if you’re a fan. I’m still not a major fan of theirs, but they’ll get there eventually. Just keep up the good work Royz!

It’s Time For A Change!

Do you see the new layout? I decided to have a change and use this layout instead. It’s a lot different from the previous one, because this one requires tiled images for the background. So I went with something that would look somewhat natural, but that didn’t work too well.

Anyways, apologies to mikupikuart who loved my previous layout, but I decided I needed a change. The previous background made it hard for people to read so I chose this layout. Hopefully it’s easier.

There’s nothing else really for me to say. There hadn’t been too many rants, except this one in particular; people dissing ViViD for reaching the charts.

Okay, I’ll do my best not to be biased here, but if a band was a on a rise to becoming popular, of course they’d appear top of the charts. Isn’t that what the GazettE have done to become popular? Yes, I know GazettE are mostly likely a better band than ViViD, but ViViD themself are a pretty good band. It all depends on music taste  though…I just prefer ViViD’s music to GazettE. Doesn’t mean I hate GazettE, I just find ViViD’s song easier to listen to.

I think people are pretty bias when it comes to their favourite band being towards the top of the charts. Frankly, I don’t care what ranking ViViD gets, they could get a low rank and I would still listen to them. GazettE top or bottom; doesn’t matter so long as I can listen to their music. Their sole reason for topping the charts is mostly on how many CDs they managed to sell within a week, it really has little to do with the music. But that’s not always true, but from what I see, whatever CD manages to sell out the most within in a week usually top the charts. Not always, but most of the time.

Again, don’t care if you bash me here on my blog. You can bash me all you want and say my opinions suck, but opinions are opinions and everyone has at least something to say on matters. You can accuse me of being bias towards ViViD, but on my personal chart, none of their songs really make it to the top three, which I consider the best songs. Some are higher than others, some are lower than others, but rest assured, they are not on the top of my personal chart.

Yui is Kai!!!!

I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT!!!! Sorry, but I was just scrolling through visual kei videos and since I had nothing to do after my exams. And since UNiTE was getting popular, I thought ‘Eh, why not?’ and looked them up. At first, Yui sounded like Kai from ALiBi, but I dismissed it. I have a knack for hearing people’s voices and memorising them, but I though it  was best not jump to conclusions. It was ONLY when Yui SMILED did I realised something. He had the same as Kai!!!

So I did a little researching and found out that indeed that Yui is Kai from ALiBi. I’m a little surprised at how little people managed to realised this. I haven’t known ALiBi or Kai for very long and I could tell it was him. Thanks to his smile I guess XD

Does the picture look familiar to you? If you remembered ALiBi’s last look as well as Kai’s previous posts on his blogs, he does that pose quite often. Now I don’t really get why some people hated him back in ALiBi. Was he seriously that annoying? I think he sounded perfectly fine and it fits the band’s theme. Yes, I think he sounds great now that he’s in UNiTE, but I can still listen to some ALiBi music and it won’t bother me. It’s not really my business to tell people otherwise, but unless you can come up with a justified reason, I won’t listen to you.

Then again, if you don’t really like the perkiness of ALiBi I can understand that, but don’t hate him just because of his voice, or worst of all, his smile. I adore his smile, it what makes him Kai back in ALiBi. He’s been less smiley lately in UNiTE and I don’t know if he got hate mails saying his smile was annoying (I’m hoping that didn’t really happen…), but his smile is far from annoying. It’s not wrong to smile or be happy and if you people find it annoying, then go find another band and stop bashing him. Don’t like a band or the members in the band? Then don’t listen to them and make comments. Other people may like the band you dislike so it gives you no right to bash them just because you don’t like them.

You can justify your reason for the paragraph above, but it won’t be like the other paragraphs. If I don’t like a certain band or their music doesn’t intrigue, I won’t listen to them. There’s no need to bash or say harsh stuff about them. That aside, I’m more than willing to support Yui and UNiTE and if I hear someone is bashing Yui (not that people have been doing that lately…it’s mostly when he was Kai back in ALiBi), I won’t say anything, but I will think you’re a shallow person. You can criticise with a justified reason and I will be fine with that, but bashing without a reason is not acceptable. I mean it.

I really didn’t want this to become a rant post, but those shallow bashers have made me do so. I’m not going to mention who and I really don’t care if you bash me here on my blog, I stand by what I believe in and you can whine and whinge all you want, it won’t make a difference. Besides, we should all act maturely about this, don’t bash up others just because they said something you didn’t like or it insulted you.

I’m going to end it here, but rest assured, if anything like this shows up again, I will make a rant on it. Just as a little note, I’m not taking sides. I’m merely giving my opinion and if you can’t take my opinion, then go, bye, get lost, whatever tickles your fancy. As for those who appreciates my opinion thanks and see you!

Shin’s Birthday

I just got the message that today’s Shin’s birthday. ViViD’s vocalist’s birthday is today and he’s in his mid twenties if I’m correct. I could be wrong. Well anyways, happy birthday to him. Usually, my phone would tell me whose birthday is on, but my phone is currently dead so it didn’t give me any notice until I checked my Ameblo and realised that Shin posted a cake in one of his entries. It was homemade by his mother. Aww, how sweet. If only my mother did that…

バラ色の人生

That title is from a song from D=OUT’s ROMAN REVOLUTION. Apart from ROMAN REVOLUTION, I loved バラ色の人生. In fact, I’m listening to it right now. If I could, I would post it on my blog to let you hear it, but I don’t have anything right now. Yes, my CDs for ViViD’s BLUE and D=OUT’s ROMAN REVOLUTION came it. I was finally able to hear the long awaited songs, because I told myself not to listen to the full version of the songs and watch the PVs so I don’t spoil it for myself when I receive the CDs. As I expected, the posters I got for ViViD were the same, so I’ll find a solution for the two spares. They’re only small posters, so I can probably put them on my books or something. I’m halfway through my third term and well, exams are coming up. Plus, we’re going to have a new student in our class, which I’m not too thrilled about. I like our class the way it is. So I’m going to start getting busy for awhile now. I’ll try my best to update like today, but since there’s nothing really I can post about, I might not be posting for awhile. We’re almost out of winter now, so just three more weeks and we’re in spring! Yay!

Since When Did D=OUT Become Major??

I’m feeling better now and what do you know, I’m posting on the last day of July. When I was sick, I was pretty much offline and missed out on a lot of news, like what the title says. When did D=OUT become major? Was it when ROMAN REVOLUTION was released? D=OUT signed in very late last year and now they’re a Major band. Wow. I’m impressed. I actually found out by checking PSC’s main site and D=OUT was on there, so and I went to check Indies PSC and they weren’t there. So now they’re a Major band. Congrats to them. I should go and congratulate them on it. Since I’m better, I’ll start updating again, but don’t expect much. There has been nothing really interesting to post about lately. Oh, but here’s one, there was a huge sale at one of the shops, because they’re going to close down and since it was a bookshop, I was majorly depressed about it. So I went in and bought one book, because the rest didn’t really catch my eye. It’s a manga book and it’s Spiral Bonds of Reasoning (Suiru no Kizuna)! Yay! I love the anime! You should watch it and read the manga. Yes, I recommend this anime and manga. Go on! Go read and watch it!

Working on PSCEP

Okay so I haven’t been blogging for a while, mainly because of Shinkenger, Go-Onger, Gekiranger and Goseiger, but you can’t blame me for finding the Sentai series much better than the Power Rangers. I don’t mind the Power Rangers so much, but I find the Sentai series more enjoyable, mind you. Anyways, yes, I have been working on PSCEP and I want to get this finish! It’s wayyy overdue and I’M NOT EVEN HALFWAY YET! I’ve had to adjust a few things, but I will say this now; the timeline may be different to now and the order of songs that appear don’t really matter. It is a AU of sort, but it’s supposed to be individual from what is happening in the real world. So don’t tell me that the dates or songs are off, because I don’t have time to go through and re-fix the whole project.

Anyhow, the project is going great so far, I’m satisfied with it so far and I have been proofreading and editing it myself. Oh if the heroine (you of course) seems a bit bland and have no character, I’m very sorry, but I tried to make her neutral in a way. I already got a website ready for me to use it when I finish the project, but I think it’s still a bit bland, so I’ll jazz it up a bit, when I compete PSCEP. I will NEVER do this again, unless it has a maximum of five guys. I feel like an idiot for thinking such a thing. As I said numerous time, the only bands eligible are The GazettE, Alice Nine, SuG, SCREW and ViViD. Actually…just read the points below;

PSCEP [✓]

• The GazettE, Alice Nine, SuG, SCREW and ViViD band members are eligible.
• Guests will appear during the course of the story e.g. Miyavi, Nishikawa Takanori etc
• Mitsuru and Yuuto are eligible, but must be unlocked.
• Kra, Kagrra, BORN and D=OUT will be involved in the story. The four vocalists of the four bands mentioned will be supporting you.
• No decrease in affection points.

PSCEP [x]

• The four bands mentioned in the second last point above will not be eligible.
• Choices could either raise or not raise affection with the eligible bands.
• Other bands outside of PSC will not be eligible either.
• JPop bands or singers won’t appear in the story.
• Love triangles are used, but you cannot get a 3P ending.

So that’s what you’re going to expect when the project is completed. I might make another one for a totally different thing, but that can only happen if I got enough time on my hand and there are limited amount of choices to go from. I’m thinking of turning this into a fan made visual novel, but I don’t have the time to do it, so it’s just going to be a regular novel. I know some of you may be eyeing the love triangle point. Yes, love triangles are involved, just not too much. I won’t go into too much detail or I could give the whole thing away. Some of you may be cheering at the ‘no decrease in affection’ point. Yeah, after this and I consider making another one, that’s not going to be there. So when it comes out, enjoy it as much as you can. Another thing, I said there was no decrease in affection, but depending on the choices you pick, you may either pick someone else, the person you’re after is not there and you gain no affection for that character at all. The website in which I’m putting it on will not allow you to go back and pick another choice, so you pretty much have to think before going to a room or place.

A walkthrough will be made, but that’s only after this is finished. The walkthrough will tell you what choices you make to get a certain guy and where he is. It will also tell you how to unlock Mitsuru and Yuuto (although I don’t think it’s really that hard to unlock them…).
